About WAM Weighing & Measurement+ magazine started out as the Scale Journal in 1914. The name was changed to Weighing & Measurement (WAM) in 1972, to better reflect a broadening industry. In 1975, the magazine was purchased by David M. Mathieu, who developed the slogan “Nothing Made That Isn’t Weighed”. Today, we could easily add to that—there is nothing in the world that’s not weighed, warehoused, shipped and tracked. Because the weighing and measurement industry dovetails with the material handling and logistics industries, it makes perfect sense for WAM to add to its editorial and readership in those areas. The magazine is now titled Weighing & Measurement +, plus being the material handling and logistics folks. The magazine is currently being published by WAM Publishing Company. Dave E. Mathieu is the publisher. |
